Snazzy Pet arrival times are booked in one hour blocks (i.e. "The groomer will arrive between 10 and 11 AM, 1 and 2 PM etc."). Since the entire groom takes place inside the Snazzy van, we will need a parking space (usually your driveway) and access to a 110 volt electrical outlet. Most homes have outlets in the garage or near the front door that can be used to power onboard equipment. Please let us know if you live in an apartment or other residence where a driveway and/or outlet is not easily available. In most cases, we can accommodate clients who live in apartments or townhomes. Please do not bring your pet to the van immediately upon our arrival. Before we begin, we will ask that you complete a simple one page form that tells us about you and your pet. Upon arrival, the groomer will introduce himself and present you with the confidential Snazzy Pet New Client form. As you complete the form, the groomer will return to the van and set up equipment in preparation for your pet. Once setup is complete, the groomer will review the New Client form and discuss with you the services you request. Please note it is VERY IMPORTANT that you list any health issues (past surgeries, anal gland issues, joint or skin problems, medications, etc.) on the New Client form. The groomer will discuss these issues with you prior to grooming your pet.
Cats: If you are having your cat groomed, please secure your animal. Some cats may be shy and will hide behind furniture or appliances and can be difficult to catch. Cats typically are groomed in 1 hour or less unless heavily matted.
Pricing: Snazzy Pet is a full service grooming company. This means we do not charge extra for nail trimming, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, or minor trimming. These services are included in the Full Service Groom. Additional services such as FURminator treatment, full body haircut, flea dip, or teeth brushing are available at additional cost. Most dog grooms can be completed in about 2 hours but it is not unusual that a small dog such as a Maltese or Shih Tzu can require more time than a large dog such as a Lab or Pit Bull. While every attempt is made stick to the posted price, all posted prices are estimates and final cost will depend on total time needed to groom your pet. Accepted payments include: cash, check, or major credit card.
MATTS: We understand that circumstances can occur that can lead to an animal being matted. Please know that heavy matting can be a serious health issue for your pet and present major challenges for the groomer. If your pet is heavily matted, the time required to complete grooming and final cost can increase significantly. Since heavy matting is a health issue for your pet, esthetics are secondary to the well being of your pet. If your pet is heavily matted the only humane option is a full body shave. We will never leave matts on an animal for the sake of esthetics.
